WE SENSE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with a mission to Serve, Engage, Nurture, Share and Enrich our community through creative and educational programs and service events. Our programs promote creativity, community connection and environmental awareness. Are you ready to unlock the secrets of nurturing beautiful outdoor plants and enjoying the bountiful rewards they bring? We, a dedicated team of passionate students called Kids4Table, invite you to join our FREE event focused on growing your own fresh food to enjoy and share!


At this unique gathering, we will delve into the benefits of at-home gardening and explore how it can positively impact families by growing their own vegetables right in their backyard. Imagine the satisfaction of harvesting fresh, pesticide-free produce for your loved ones, all while connecting with nature and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.


During our session, experienced volunteers will guide you through the ins and outs of outdoor plant care, sharing their expertise and invaluable tips for cultivating thriving gardens. You'll learn about the essential elements of soil preparation, watering techniques, pest management, and effective plant nutrition to ensure your green companions flourish in every season.


And the best part? Hundreds of sprouting plants are ready to give away, FREE. Whether you're just starting your garden or looking to expand your existing green haven, these plants are a fantastic addition to your collection. Don't miss the chance to take home these thriving beauties, provided to you at no cost.


We believe in the power of giving back to our communities. That's why we're striving to make a difference. Any excess vegetables harvested from our gardens will be donated to hunger relief organizations, and we welcome everyone to join this effort.

promotes community composting as an actionable solution to today’s waste crisis. A student team created an app that combines four main features: Check, Map, Impact & Community in one single mobile environment to empower users to easily start and stay motivated with composting.
