Creativity In Bloom is an exciting event brought to you by We Sense’s environmental awareness programming. Creativity In Bloom promotes environmental stewardship and engages our community in collective creativities through an online contest of green projects. Environmental burdens around the world have been reduced in some aspects due to Covid-19 pandemic’s impact on human activities, but new challenges arise and require our actions. In this unusual spring, we look forward to further addressing the increased residential waste issues due to stay-at-home orders through the creative spirits and solutions within our community. We believe mindfulness and every intentional choice to reduce, reuse and recycle waste will make a meaningful impact on protecting our environment.
Creativity In Bloom provides a platform for encouraging community involvements, celebrating green ideas, and showcasing creative and practical green projects. Aiming to inspire efforts for a greener lifestyle and community, the Creativity In Bloom online contest invites local residents to participate in one or both of the following ways:
Create! Inspire and impact our community with your visual example(s) of how recycled materials can be utilized to create something beautiful, fun and/or useful, and compete for prizes!
Vote! Cast your votes online to select five “People’s Choice Award” winners, whether or not you sign up to compete.
Individuals, families and neighborhood friends (in keeping with safe distance guidelines) are encouraged to explore and create green projects of any kind incorporating recycled/reused materials. Here are some ideas to ignite your creativity flame: handcrafted sculptures, mini robots, toys, board games, variety garden arts, miniature gardens, obstacle courses, STEAM applications and more. Possibilities are endless. Let your imagination soar. Be inspired by each other. Together we’ll witness the blooming creativity and greener practices in our community.
